RE: Pick 'Em returns in Rome (BT.net v AM.com - can we continue the dominance?)

Entries for the Rome AMS pick 'em competition are now open on the BT.net competitions page at http://www.britishtennis.net/Competitions.html

The deadline is 9 pm UK time on Sunday (20.00 GMT) so that Bethan can get the entries into the results system on Sunday night rather than having to wait until Monday morning.

If the qualifiers get placed in the draw not too late tomorrow, I'll make a new sheet with the qualifiers in it available for download as quickly as I can, but please be aware that this may only be an hour or two before entries close, so it's probably best to start thinking about your picks now using the sheet you can already download.

It is ok to send in a sheet which still says "Qualifier 1", etc - we will replace those fields with the qualifiers' real names for you before the tournament starts.

If you have a good excuse for not being able to do your picks by 9 pm on Sunday, I imagine Bethan might accept the odd late entry, as long as it's not TOO odd and it arrives before play starts on Monday, but please be considerate and try to get your entries to her by 9 pm tomorrow if you can. Thank you!

Becuase the qualifiers are taking a long time I'm extending the deadline till 10:30pm (UK time) so you can (hopefully) include the qualys. If you've already sent in your sheet and would like to amend it then that's fine just send it again but put in the email that you've sent it twice, ie instead of 'here's my entry' write 'here's my SECOND entry, please ignore first'. hope this helps.

  1. The new entry sheet with qualifiers placed in the draw is now available at http://www.britishtennis.net/pec.htm - it took 5 minutes to add the qualifiers, another 15 to get useless freewebs to let me upload it. furious

However, there's no need to use this if you've completed your sheet with Qualifier 1, etc, after you knew which qualifier was which, or if you had to send it in early.  Also, sorry about it saying "Monte Carlo AMS" at the top of the original entry sheet. If it had Tigger playing Almagro in R1, it was the correct (i.e. Rome) sheet, so don't worry! ashamed

Entries now closed, I've got 17 entrants from here. rochelle I used your second lot of picks, thanks for making them so clear that was perfect. John and Goldfish I added in your text results. John, if Andy goes far you could be set to do very well as few of us have him beating both Canas and Robredo (not to mention Nadal). Of course, those points may be offset by Henman not beating Federer so you'll just have to hope for a miracle there. biggrin.gif

Any room for a late entrant?

I've mailed my form across some 4 hours after the deadline (sorry!) and if I can sneak in that would be great (otherwise I'll cheer BT on from the sidelines)

Sorry Grundon, that's too late but you can still follow your own progress and cheer us along.
