Actually Cox had won by 3 and 1. Previously they had put 3 and 2 on the drawsheet.

Second round:

Daniel Cox [54] vs. Matteo Trevisan [6] of Italy.

Cox has one of the toughest matches possible against someone who is on a twelve match unbeaten streak that includes two Grade 1 titles on clay. They've played once before - a marathon match in Australia earlier this year that Trevisan won in the end (36 63 75). He'll need to be at his very best to do any sort of damage. pray.gif

Neil Pauffley [145] vs. Janez Semrajc [32] of Slovenia.

This is far tougher than the first round. Semrajc reached the final of Istres and the semis of the Grade 1 in Santa Croce last week. Hasn't played Pauffley before.

I think Evans and Rice might win a junior doubles grand slam in the next month and a half!

How come Romboli lost 1 and 0? Was he playing a wonderkid?

Well, Martinoski is rather incredible on clay and ranked where he is because he doesn't play much, but I don't know what happened. hmm.gif Romboli wasn't injured for sure.

Probably he was too excited! He would have become the world number one if he had won a few rounds as Eysseric is dropping 250 points.

I'd drop 250 for a main draw WC to Roland Garros! laughing.gif

Just the doubles to play for then! Is it only Evans and Rice left?

It does seem very odd indeed. Can't wait for the explanation...
