You predict the winners for all the matches at one go (before the tournament starts) and get points for correct picks.

For example, you look at tomorrow's draw for Monte Carlo and then pick the winners for all the first round matches, for all the second round matches and so on...

no, you choose them all in one go so you get a draw sheet, fill in what you think ALL the results will be and email it to me, then watch as the matches get played and see how well(or badly) you do. You get marked for each correct prediction, more points the later in the tournament it is so for example a round 1 prediction gets 1 point whereas a semi final gets 32 because to get the semi final winner right you also need to have gotten the players right which is hard!

Does that make sense?

oh and you don't sound stupid, it's a simple concept...once you understand it! Up till then i can see how it's complicated.

I'm in if there's still a spot. Hopefully I'll have a bit better luck beyond the QF stage this time.

TIMETABLE

Main draw - 11.00 BST Saturday
Excel sheet available for download - by 18.00 BST Saturday (*)
Deadline for entries - 10.00 BST Sunday

(*) Even if the draw is published soon after it takes place, I am not going to be able to start working on it until mid-afternoon unfortunately. I will post here when the Excel entry sheet is available for download, and barring disasters I can guarantee that will be before 6 pm BST, so if you don't want to keep checking, then just come back sometime this evening. Of course, if the draw is up on the Monte Carlo site before that (which I assume it will be), you can start thinking about your picks this afternoon if you want to, which will make the whole process quicker once you get hold of the entry sheet.

N.B. Because the main draw is starting on Sunday, the entry window is going to be very tight here and qualifiers will not be placed in the draw before the pick 'em entry deadline so we'll be picking blind for matches involving qualifiers.
