Main draw - 11.00 BST Saturday Excel sheet available for download - sometime on Saturday afternoon Deadline for entries - 10.00 BST Sunday
Because the main draw is starting on Sunday, the entry window is going to be very tight here and qualifiers will not be placed in the draw before the pick 'em entry deadline so we'll be picking blind for matches involving qualifiers.
If both boards get 25 or more entrants, the captains will be able to pick the top 25 for their team as last time, with any extras just entering as individuals, but if the tight entry window reduces the number of entries this time, the team competition will be based on average scores.
From this board, as last time, we need:
- a captain (duties: pming anyone who needs to be reminded to do their entry once the spreadsheet is available for download ... picking the bt.net top 25 if necessary ... baiting am.com when we take an early lead ... eating humble pie when Andy does better than expected and they overtake us ... gloating when we eventually win by 0.00...% - imoen standing in for sheddie? You know itm makes sense! Or do you not want to be involved in the results and be captain too, Bethan?) - somebody to convert text entries into Excel for those who don't have it (this can be the captain) - best done on Sunday morning, doesn't have to be before play starts as long as the actual picks are in by 10 BST - somebody to copy and paste all the entries into the spreadsheet file - same timing as the last bit

I think it's best if I do the results/spreadsheet work this time and try and learn how to put it online and then if I'm needed to captain in later competitions that's fine. Hope that's OK.
Oh and Steven, so long as you give me step-by-step instructions that are as good as the spreadsheet ones then I'm sure I'll be able to post the tables. If you gave Sheddie similar instructions then I don't understand how he could've failed!

That sounds like a good plan.
As for our beloved shedster, I was very careful with the instructions I gave him. Went through them again and again following the steps myself, looking out for anywhere he could screw them up, but given one of the questions he asked when he was doing it ("How do I do [this thing that I shouldn't have to do in the first place]?"), I vastly underestimated his precocious 'talent' in this area. Just call him, er, Martina Hingis, I guess. (come to think of it, he really could do with the firm hand of Melanie Molitor to keep him in check - maybe she's at a loose end and could help )
The thing about using Excel's publish to web function is that if you follow a set of steps to the letter when first setting it up, you can't really go wrong, and it is very easy to republish after that.
Try to be too clever (in the "oh I can see a quick way around that" sense) though, and it all comes tumbling down like a house of cards.
Btw, your new sig's very clever (now that I've worked it out LOL)
