Evans' match was really tough, that Vucic geezer is a lot better than his ranking, I've heard lot of things about him. Vucic struggled to make many first serves throughout the match and Evans took full advantage to sweep through the first set 6-0. Dan had chances to break at the start of the 2nd but Vucic saved them and opened up a 4-1 lead. Dan hit back and levelled at 4-4 but Vucic broke in the 12th game to take the set 7-5. Dan started strongly in the 3rd and led 4-1 but was again pegged back and was broken when serving for it at 5-4. However, Dan broke straight back and this time made no mistake serving it out to book his place in rd2.

Dan, I guess you're reading this, so congrats on the win...must feel good to come through such a close match, best of luck in rd2. What's the clay like out there, you travelling with LTA coaches ?

nope I didn't hack ur computer, just noticed you and Cox both on msn for ages this afternoon and thought it inconceivable that these two things weren't connected.
