New ITF rules don't allow unranked players from foreign countries (defining 'players from foreign countries' as boys and girls who don't live in or aren't a citizen of the nation where the tournament is being held) to be a part of the alts list.
Jennifer Ren needed a wild card into the G5 qualies in Malta even though there were loads of byes.
I am slightly scared that Jessica won't be able to make her debut till next March. But given her talent, back up and contacts, there is no reason as to why she shouldn't be able to secure qualies, if not main draw wild cards outside Britain. I believe that Laura Robson is allowed to play tournaments in the US.
The rule is totally pointless and incredibly daft. It's their mum's/dad's/federation's money they are using to play tournaments, so who's the ITF to stop them?
And does that mean that Liechtenstein, Nepal etc. aren't allowed to have tennis players?
I really have no idea about what he's actually like on clay. He thrashes people when he's playing well and gets beaten badly when he's not playing well.
