Game and 2nd set: Absolutely incredible retrieving from Andy, M hit so many shots which looked like clean winners. Andy ends the rally with a brilliant trademark bh winner dtl

He seemed to have come on court with the wrong game plan, just playing pretty passive, not doing much and hoping for the errors. Problem is that Mathieu's no Kendrick, he's too good for that, he can dominate the rallies on a consistent basis and in the end it was Andy getting frustrated into the errors. Luckily he seems to have become more aggressive just in time
15-0: Good serve, big bh into opposite corner, Andy gets there but defensive slice floats wide
15-15: bh winner dtl - brilliant shot !
15-30: M fh wide
15-40: M bh into net...getting v frustrated now
Game: Mathieu attacks net, brilliant recovery shot from Andy, M forced into playing tricky half volley...he does well with it but Andy gets to the drop shot and puts it away
He isn't losing this. He is fast becoming the three set king of the Tour. The last time he lost a three setter after losing the first set was back in Nottingham against Seppi.
Been watching the stream on bwin which is some 10 mins behind the livescore/action and all I can say is what a gutsy fightback from Andy...really mature keeping the ball in play and let PHM get all worked up....I noticed when Andy hit a forehand netcord and it bounced on his side PHM made a fist and shouted out....next point the same happend to PHM and Andy did the same to let him know he was angry at what he had done. At the end of the game PHM complained to the Ump...sorry what a prat !
