Trainer on for Andy?

I think it might be better for him just to retire and get fit for Miami. I'm worried he will cause more damage playing on - he is not going to win like this.

2-3

Andy has rediscovered his ability to hit big winners.

Shame he couldn't have done that half an hour ago.

On the downside Andy has call the trainer out apparently for a chat. The proffesional advice is to "keep playing".

Physio didn't do anything, just talked to Andy, then umpire. No idea what was said, but back playing.

Possibly tactical?

Andy did really well yesterday, but at a price.  I'd go with M on this.  It's not sensible to continue.

According to Petch Andy was saying to Novotny that his hip is really hurting when he goes out wide on either side and that he's had to change his game (playing serve/volley) just to try and play. He wanted to know if he was going to do it anymore damage by going for the wide shots even when it hurt.

15-40 - 2 BPs. C'mon, Andy.
30-40.
deuce - ball was called fault but it was a mile in and Nole went to hawkeye to get the ace.
Ad Djoko - good serve.
Game Nole - Andy went long. :(

That was probably his chance.

I think that the Ginepri match was far worse. He's very much in this.

Deuce. Fine serve from Djok saved the second bp, linesman called it out but the challenge was imediate

2-4

Djok dug himself out of trouble in that game. Credit to him, hopefully Andy will get another chance.

Andy holds to love - and true to what he said he serve/volleyed a lot there. If he can just get the break back he has a chance here but I don't know if he can do it.
