Stats for the Baker match: Both players served pretty well from the looks of things, like Boggo against Lopez, what cost Baker was a failure to take his chances. He only took 3 out of 12 bps....missed 5 in the final set before getting broken while serving to stay in the match
Hmmm, I think Baker would have had a chance against Tsonga. To say otherwise amounts to little more than treason! lol
Hopefully slower courts will translate to even better results from Jamie. Wonder how much he will play on clay this year.

Why do you say that simon ? Does Jamie really not like clay then ?
I think he's at his best on slower surfaces, like Andy - medium paced outdoor hard is his best surface. On those courts, Jamie's consistency, fitness and ability to work the rallies is most effective. Technically, he hits his shots with a lot of topspin which suits slower, higher bouncing surfaces though as he showed on the grass last summer and on the indoor circuit so far this year, he can adapt his game.
Jamie has avoided clay in the past couple of years, don't think he's played a tour match on it since 2004 ! (unless some of the 2005 Turkey sat was on clay). Last May he played a series of futures in Greece before the grass season. Unless he's going to step down to futures again, he'll have to head to the States to find some hard court challengers in April-May (though I think some of those may be on clay).
He played on clay in Naples Challenger (I think) in November
