Neither JMDP or Canas elected to play quallies and both missed the cut for the main draw. I don't know if Canas was offered a WC but he elected not to play anyway because of a slight leg injury that he wants to rest. I don't think JMDP was offered one.

I initially feel very excited about the ever elusive perspect of Canas playing Federer on clay court.I simply have to wait until Rome, don't I?
BTW, it is really a strange decision why neither Kuerten nor JMDP not granted WCs into the main draw as I think either one of them is more appeal to spectator than Serra
Murray should get to at least round 3, but no further than the QF's, as Nadal will be far too good for Murray
Whether he gets to face him depends on two things... which Nalbandian shows up (a good performance for Dave, and he will take Murray apart on the clay), and which Murray shows up (the one who lost to Lisnard last year, or the one who supposedly can play on clay). I'd still back Dave to win though
