Andy started quite slowly in San Jose last week, Roddick came out with all guns blazing while Andy looked pretty passive, managed to hang in there early on and save several bps before gradually upping his game. Hopefully similar happens this week.
Maybe he's intimidated by Roddick's energy as against most other opponents he starts fast

That is why I thought Andy would make a fast start today as he already knows the Roddick serve but he has been struggling with it so far.
Much better from Andy. Slight hicup at 40-0 where he missed going for a winner but he moved forward in the next point and hit a clean winner from a better angle
