Ok, 9.30 pm GMT start - I'm not going to miss this one!
Stefan Koubek - 30 year old Austrian, bit of a journeyman really but has had good results like reaching the final in Chennai last month. Andy should win - but doing well in back-to-back tournaments is never easy.
Nobody seems to have been able to find any live streams.
I half thought Eurosport might have picked this match up as there isn't any live sport on, and they are covering the semis and the final, but it doesn't appear so (i'll still check at 9.30 just in case!!).
Koubek's a leftie clay-courter, currently ranked 73 but he reached no 20 in 2000. He's best known for his Roland McDonald grunge style outfits than his success on court.
He defeated erratic German Simon Greul 6-3, 7-6 in rd1 and then was too wily for upcoming Russian youngster Evgeny Korolev (who'd beaten 8th seed Robby Ginepri) in rd2, winning 7-6, 6-2.
After Chennai, he lost in rd1 of Sydney and the AO. Made a challenger semi in the States before losing in rd2 of Zagreb
His big weapon is his speed around the court and has a big forehand but his problem is consistency. He will hit some massive winners but will mix those in with a lot of errors.
Andy will surely be too consistent for him tonight
To be honest though, Tim just didn't turn up against Koubek in that first rubber, one of his worst Davis Cup matches, it'd been raining all morning and the clay was really damp and slow and he just couldn't string a rally together, looked unfocused and was struggling to time anything. It was almost exactly like his match against Arazi in the first rubber of the Morrocco tie the year before.
Then in the final rubber, Greg had really bad blisters but Bates still picked him instead of Murray or Boggo
Speaking ahead of the match Andy said "I would love to win my next match. My longest win streak last year was seven and I'd like to go one better and put myself in a position where I have a chance of winning a tournament."
