RE: Memphis rd2: Murray v Pless

True, they'll probably leave the late matches to Roddick and Fish.  I hope.

I would really like to see that serve percentage up a little. 35% in the second set and he only faced one BP is pretty embarassing for Pless though.

The BP conversion rate wasn't great but I wouldn't want to be too hard on him for that since he is a guy who can serve himself out of bother at times.

A straight sets victory is the main thing and hopefully he'll find his first serve with a little more regularity tomorrow because I really want to see him play Roddick again.

I don't remember Murray facing any BPs. From the live scoring, that scoreline doesn't represent Andy's dominance at all. He could (should?) have broken on at least four more games while KP had no real windows at all.

The match stats say 0/1 break points for Pless somewhere in the second set. I don't know where, I missed the match - and considering how erratic the scoreboard sounds to have been, I'm not surprised if others missed the point in question.

It was towards the end of the second set. Murray started to struggle a bit on serve and Pless suddenly started to hold much more easily.

Murray got into a bit of a pickle and went BP down but got himself out of it.

Another win. The Murrays are now unbeaten in many matches if you include the winning streak they are both on!

The courts are actually a lot slower in San Jose. They're harder and higher bouncing. Andy had quite a few difficulties timing-wise in the Dancevic match because it's quite a change !

Ah, okay. Then it must be the bounce that's causing everyone to rain in the aces.

It must be. Really gives the tall guys a big advantage which was I was amazed at Karlovic losing in rd1 to Querrey. I know Querrey's a good player but didn't think he'd be able to get anything on the Karlovic serve

Querrey isn't short either. Six feet six...

Yeah that explains how he's done so well here. Beat Benneteau pretty easily in rd2. Was surprised that his match against Haas was so one-sided

Is Querrey a Karlovic copy or does he have anything off the ground?
