I wouldn't be at all surprised if it took 3 sets again.
I think Andy sometimes has difficulty motivating himself against lower-ranked players. On the other hand with the difficult time he had with Pless last week, he just may be motivated enough to come out and play at his best.
I'll stick with a prediction of Andy in 3, though.
Murray's game will be fresh in Pless's mind after last week and he'll know what he wants to do to attack it and could be a real thorn in his side unless he plays better. He'll know what mistakes he made last week and do his best not to repeat them.
I remember last year Murray beat Soderling in San Jose only to be toppled by him in the QFs in Memphis and I don't want to see a repeat of that sort of thing.
Hi, I'm really hoping Andy makes it through tonight, but do you think we should be worried about these very close matches he seems to be having against lower ranked players? Im not expecting him to dominate like Fed, but last week in San Jose most of his matches were tight affairs. I really want to see Andy over power and thrash early opponents so that he has enough left for semis and finals! If you look at other top players throughout the last 20 years, Sampras, Agassi, Becker,Fed,Hewitt, etc most of these used to simply take early opponents apart.Maybe once andy beefs up, he will develop more power and then begin to dominate! Im going to say Andy in an easy straight sets tonight victory just to prove me wrong!

Reminds me of someone's results from the last twelve months:
Against Mohammed Al Ghareeb - 76 64 Against Olivier Rochus - 36 62 75 and 67 76 76 Against Arnaud Clement - 62 67 60 Against Xavier Malisse - 76 67 63 Against Takao Suzuki - 46 75 76 Against Paradorn Srichaphan - 64 36 76
Then...
Against Andy Roddick - 64 60 62 Against James Blake - 60 63 64 and 75 63 60 Against Fernando Gonzalez - 75 61 60
Andy is preserving his best tennis by the look of it.
Well the match before is finished, so it should start on time around 9.30.
Would you believe the one night when Andy is not playing in the middle of the night, I have to go out and do the shopping (24 hour Tesco, why we go so late is a long story!)? I am hoping to get back before the end, but if not, to come back to good news!
I wont be round much....got keys for new house...move in on Tuesday....no phone/broadband until 2nd March...so it wil be mobile net access for me until back to work next week...go Andy !
