Boys: Banana Bowl - ITF Grade 1 - 2007.

The penultimate of the circuit will be played from 12th March onwards.
This was a GA till last year, but it'll be G1 from now on as it makes no sense having a GA before a G1 instead of the other way round.

http://www.cosat.org/main/index.php?i=torneo.lista&id=109&c=6

Strong list as Gastao, Lazare (he could withdraw?), Rhyne Williams (no idea if he's good on clay), Grigor Dimitrov and Kevin Botti join the tour.

Main draw: Graeme Dyce, Dan Evans, Dan Cox and David Rice.
Qualies: Josh Milton, Michael Thompson, Tim Hewitt and Scott Sears.

Milton is going back to Britain. Hope he'll be all right.

Round one:

Daniel Cox [52] beat Nassim Slilam [97] of France by 26 63 61.

David Rice [43] beat Marcelo Arevalo [89] of El Salvador by 62 62.

Daniel Evans [25] lost to Stephane Piro [15] of France by 60 36 63.

Routine wins for Cox and Rice.

That first round draw is a real fun spoiler! Pity that he had to lose even after he bagelled him, but he can't be blamed for losing to a bigger and better (better just because he is older, by the way) player. Let's hope for some good wins in doubles.

Round two:

David Rice [43] lost to Roman Jebavy [3] of the Czech Republic by 61 46 26.

Daniel Cox [52] lost to Ricardo Urzua Rivera [20] of Chile by 46 46.

Hopefully they'll pick some good points in doubles.

Gutted that this week has been less profitable for the boys...

The tour as a whole has been a greta success and there's still some valuable doubles points up for grabs!

They beat Inze and Piro and then got a walkover in the finals.

What a team these two are turning out to be!
