They have probably forgotten that he is defending points. Andy started the week on 1650 but defending 60, so even if he wins, 250 points, his total would be only 1840. The current no 10, Ancic, has 1975 ppints.
Even if he wasn't defending and he added an extra 250 to his total he still wouldn't be in the top 10, as Mad says, Ancic is on 1975 and 1650+250 is 1900.
I'm sure in the past the BBC has used our rankings tables for their articles about Murray, silly people for not using it this week. They also said that if Andy wins this evening he'll go higher than 13 next week which is rubbish.
