RE: Andy's ranking and competitors: Week 8 (Memphis etc)

Unfortunately, Ferrer didn't follow Berdych out of rotterdam

...but then Christophe Rochus is no Mikhail Youzhny.  6-3 6-0

Just off the bottom of the table, although WR22 Youzhny won, WR23 Dominic Hrbaty has just lost to Florian Mayer 7-5 in the 3rd. Another couple of weeks and I very much doubt we'll have to pay any attention whatsoever to players in the 20s in the rankings (unless Henman starts to climb back up the rankings!!)

The Updated Table is posted here (On Britishtennis.net)

Nice to see four competitors leaving the fray: Gasquet and Hewitt withdrawing, and Berdych and Nieminen  being knocked out

Haas and Nalby still to play.

As MM says, Haas won, but Nalby lost his first RR match

Today, Ferrer plays Vliegen first up and Djokovic polays Pavel, last match in Rotterdam.
Ferrer overtakes if he wins Allez Kristof!!

Andy, of course, plays Dancevic.

Ferrer seems to be pin-proof: I'll have to devise something even more nasty. . .

Djokovic is a set down to Pavel , but hasd just done a textbook angry bear impression, broke in the first game, and is now 2-0 up in the second

Arka, I don't know how to say "Come On!" in Romanian!!

Djokovic won, and overtakes Gasquet, to breathe down Andy's neck.

Andy plays tonight, and if he wins , he's the only one playing tomorrow.

On Sky active and the BBC, they keep stating that if Andy goes far in this tourney, he can enter top 10, but RobC/Bethan explains that Andy can only reach no.11. So whos telling the truth
