I noticed that he had stopped - the first half of the match he must have said it a dozen or more times!

I don't think he was a good commentator, he drove me nearly crackers, but at least he listens to constructive criticism!

(Edit - I didn't notice the page had turned over - that was in response to Steven who emailed the commentator)

The funny thing is, I'd been thinking to myself "gosh, this guy's commentating is almost a formulaic as the commentator who did the Radio Tennis commentary from the Valencia (USA) Challenger last April" - what I hadn't realised was that it was indeed the same guy!

He may not be the best commentator in the world, but he seems like a very nice guy and it's really cool what they're doing, giving us the chance to follow some of these events so closely.

Tie break, Andy's scores first...

5-2 Murray, was that a Karlovic Double fault!!!!

I knew if Andy could get enough returns in Karlovic's confidence in his serve would take a knock .... didn't know it would take until the 3rd set TB though!

I recorded the final off Eurosport - although at times the picture quality was lousy due to satellite problems, they said.  Cleared up by the second set though I think.  No prize giving ceremony though - they said their feed was cut

I recorded the prize-giving ceremony off the live stream though, as well as the doubles match, as well as his first three rounds.  The quality is not terrific but it's watchable

Yes, that's right. I emailed them about that at the time too:

"Thanks for the e-mail. I'am sorry that we didn't give the Alex Bogdanovic /
Frederick Neimeyer score. It was being played about four courts down from our
broadcast area and we couldn't really see the action.

Still..you bring up a good point. We know we have a lot of listeners throughout
the U.K, and we should do a little better job of keeping you updated on your
players.

Thanks for the suggestion...and thank you for listening to
RadioTennis.com...we
truly appreciate it. Contact us anytime."

Thanks for the commentary, I couldn't stay up last night and function as I need to today so I slept thought it safe in the knowledge that this thread would be ready for me. I have to say I think it's one of the best features of this website, so thanks all.

Also, bravo to Andy!! He is on fire at the moment! Can't see anyone in the Memphis draw beating him (I would've said Roddick before Saturday but now...).

well done Andy!! i stayed up till the first set, but i knew he would come back and win tightly! i suppose his fitness regime is paying off considering he played 3/5 matches in 3 sets!! Once again, well done, hope you do well in Memphis!

To be honest I thought it would be much easier but I hadn't realised quite how fast the court was this year. That being said it was only one very sloppy shot on break point in the first set that led to it being such a tight match. Had Andy taken his chance I think it would have been a comfortable win. He also deserves credit for holding his nerve late in the match. After doing most of the running in the third set he could easily fell for the sucker punch of Karlovic's late charge.

The commentary was simply awful. They kept going on about Andy's old fitness problems as if he had only just got himself sorted.
