Karlovic wandered a bit mentally at the start of the final set but that serve kept him on level terms and as the tiebreak got closer he gained in strength and he a had a real go. Maybe he went for too much in the tiebreak but that was the way he was commited to playing.
Andy kept his level high all the way through and he hit a ton of winners from all over the court. A deserved victory but Andy could have made it a lot easier for himself if he had taken his chances earlier in the match.
The commentators on Eurosport said that the last time brothers won singles and doubles at the same tournament was in 1989 - cant remember who they said (Maybe Beutroguena spelling?!?)

Anyone watching the feed tell us what he says, please. :)
I would if I could, but the sound quality was appalling, sounded as though they were speaking underwater through layers of cotton wool. I really don't have much of a clue what was said! I think he remembered to thank most people, though, and said he would be back next year.
Very professional interview and thanks from Murray - thanked the fans, congratulated Ivo on his return from knee problems, thanked the umpire and kinda said he knows he gives them a hard time sometimes. Thanked the tournament and especially his coach - said after 2 finals, he was delighted to win 1 in front of Brad.
In the interview he was talking about having to hang in there against that serve, that it's mentally tiring and physically but you have to keep in it.
I use 2 pieces of software - WM Recorder, which I purchased, which you can then use to just record the stream. The other is URL helper - this allows you to get the direct link to the live stream, so you can put that into WM Recorder.
It's not too complicated - the output is just an ASF file.

As scoobs said, Emilio and Javier Sanchez certainly did it at Kitzbuhel in 1989, pairing up to beat Korda/Smid after Emilio had won the singles. I'm not certain it hasn't been done since, and I don't know when was the last time it happened without both brothers being part of the doubles pairing, i.e. with the winners of the titles completely independent of each other.
That's Sanchez as in the Sanchez-Casal academy of course, Andy's alma mater!
Emilio Butragueno was a Spanish footballer btw

Got a reply from Ken the commentator on the live stream.
I wrote: (and I'm feeling really bad about this now!)
"It's great to be able to watch the live stream from San Jose, thanks for providing it. Some of us on the Andy Murray Message Board are wondering if you could stop calling big Ivo the "Croatian Sensation" quite so often.
If you want an alternative to use sometimes, we call him the "Big Friendly Giant", though he's not being very friendly to our boy at the moment!
Here's hoping for a Murray win in 3!"
The reply went:
"Will do..Ok maybe one more time at the end of the match
Ken"
LOL
I think he did only do it twice more, can't complain that they don't listen to their listeners.
The funny thing is, I'd been thinking to myself "gosh, this guy's commentating is almost a formulaic as the commentator who did the Radio Tennis commentary from the Valencia (USA) Challenger last April" - what I hadn't realised was that it was indeed the same guy!
He may not be the best commentator in the world, but he seems like a very nice guy and it's really cool what they're doing, giving us the chance to follow some of these events so closely.
