That is such a blow to him, and presumably to his team also. His 'bubble' must be quite large and very likely others are positive also. Just hope they can prevent further spread and that none of them become seriously ill.

Mike Dickson was reporting that there was a small outbreak of Covid at Roehampton and that Paul Jubb had tested positive too.

I guess there are a lot of people now self isolating.

 Thanks for elaborating Bob.

Not much of a mathematician or up to date with current uk happenings etc, but would he not have to isolate two weeks in the uk and then a further two weeks upon arriving at the AO? With the open due to start in under 4 weeks? Seems pretty straightforward that he wont make it, but I could very well have my numbers wrong, hope everyone stays safe either way

If I am not mistaken, quarantine is now 10 days in the UK and reports are that he is already part way through that.

Makes sense (he said ironically) to lower the days in quarantine with these last few days of the most deaths on record im the UK is it and back into nationwide lockdown?

Five-time finalist Andy Murray will miss the Australian Open after a solution to find a "workable quarantine" following his positive test for coronavirus could not be found

Possibly but more than anything he needed to play and that will be the first opportunity post recovering from Covid. I think he plans to play one or two european indoor events , atp level, I seem to recall?

This has been reported in the Daily Telegraph. Italy also requires a 14 day quarantine for travellers from the UK. But the start date of Feb 15 would give Andy a little longer to prepare.

Sorry if it's already here but I read that Andy tried really hard to play the Quimper challenger, although with quite a list of demands, but it couldn't all get organised and the Covid test.....
