Andy Murray

Further interview with Andy, this time with the Beeb, in which he talks about how he sees things now.  Similar content in today's Standard, though that reveals that he nursed an elbow injury following his win in Antwerp which prevented him from even practising for 12 days!

So what do we think of little Murray baby be called Teddy???

SC, does that rattle your cage?

NB THis is not a 'Theodore-shortened-to-Teddy', is it? It's just Teddy.....

Wouldn't be my choice - by a LONG way...... (Teddy? Seriously?)

AND he's got a sister called Edie.

Personally, I think Sophia did well and it went downhill from there.

rolleyes.gif  While it's not as risible as "Sugar" or the names of the Kardashian crew (or should that be "krew"?!!) or the Oliver tribe, it's still pretty feeble.  Teddy (also a shortened form of Edward & Edmund, by the way) Murray?  disbelief  Incidentally, for what it's worth, I couldn't agree more with your last line.  wink

Interview in today's Times under the heading "Chocolate habit a bigger problem for Andy Murray than hip" (behind a paywall)!  wink  While he was out for those 12 days, his weight apparently went up from his usual 84kg to 88.5!  It seems he's rather partial to Choco Leibniz biscuits.

Similar articles elsewhere - I am guessing they do these articles as a conference call and all the press dial in and write it up as their own? No way he has met all of these folks and had back to back conversations!

Sounds a reasonable suggestion.  I read the Metro article on the Tube on the way in to work this morning, but thought it was too lightweight to be worth mentioning.

Ted and Teddy are actually quite popular now, and its a name that actually ages quite well.

Its digressing but I think george bellshaw is one of the best tennis writers just now, with stuart Fraser of the Times. Not sure re simon Briggs, simon chambers is ok, kevin Mitchell is, mike dickson I like, just dont like his paper!

There's a typically (& refeshingly) honest interview with Andy conducted by Andrew Billen in today's Times2Andy Murray on his hip injury:  "Kim has been brilliant.  I have probably been quite selfish".  Needles to say, it's behind a paywall.

Really hope I get the chance soon to see the Andy Murray documentary which premiered tonight and is called "Resurfaced".

Andy has opened up about his reasons for tennis and the many difficult issues about the past, including the Dunblane shooting. This is a really good read from Simon Briggs in the Telegraph which broaches this subject among other things.

Andy was on Radio Five Live today being interviewed by Nicky Campbell, Rachel Burden and Chris Latcham. It was a good chat with questions from listeners and he came across very well. Good for him. Look forward to seeing the documentary, is it on BBC i-Player or in cinemas? Not quite sure who has the rights to it, I am presuming it is a BBC thing?

Just watched 'Resurfacing' on Amazon prime. Brilliant film, much of the information of course we already knew, and of course we have seen more of his recent successes since the film was made. But what we have never seen is him with his children, and that for me is just lovely. Kim also, so rarely seen recently, is a treat to see and her input wise and compassionate.
