Rice and Evans' doubles match versus Inze and Piro was rained off yesterday. They play again today.
They lost to Piro and Axel Michon last week. Here's hoping for revenge!
Semifinals:
Daniel Cox [69] vs. Stephane Piro [34] of France. David Rice [87] vs. Rafael Garcia [238] of Brazil.
Dan has a real battle in front of him as he plays the in form, bigger and more experienced Piro, the same player who knocked him out of the tournament last week. Piro will obviously be the favourite for this one, but if Dan has a proper plan based on what he saw of him in Argentina, he can very well take this. Come on, Daniel!
Even though Rice's task is a bit easier than Cox's, it's hardly easy as Garcia is underranked due to lack of action and already has two men's ranking points. He reached the semis last week and knocked Evans out in the second round. Revenge on behalf of Evans.
I think that this is great! Last year Dan was our number one for a while, which was a shame as that meant that our other players were underperforming by a big margin. I mean, a 15 year old being the number one shows how bad the condition of a country's tennis is. Don't misunderstand me.... I loved the fact that Cox was our number one.
Cox is nearly two years younger than Rice, so he has a lot of time left. I am very impressed with Rice on this tour. I guessed that he would do well because he was very good on clay last year, but seriously speaking he has exceeded my expections by a bit. Well done to him.

Cox is at 63. Evo is at 52. Josh is at 143. Thompson is at 208. Rice is at 56.
And Dyce is at 37.
I don't fancy the task of choosing the team for this year's Summer Cup!
