I've been looking out for Dyce for a while, and whilst his singles performances perhaps haven't been as good as I'd hoped, he seems to do well in doubles.  But this is amazing!

Scottish tennis stars - you wait a hundred years for one to come, and then they all come at once!

(All credit to the Finn as well)

My scoreboard is still stuck at 0-40, but I'll take your word for it.

Graeme Dyce & Harri Heliovarra

Brilliant result I thought Graeme's event was over when he went out in the first round of the singles but he has formed a mighty doubles partnership with Heliovarra.

Both players should take great confidence from their performances this week.

Great result, credit to both players I think. Hopefully Dyce can translate his doubles prowess into singles very soon.

Anyone see an interview with Dyce after the singles?

I watch the live scoreboard and he faded badly, just wanted to know if it was the heat, or any other explanation?

Anyway, fantastic result today.

Let's hope he can take confidence from it.

Keith, Dyce got a cramp in his right hand right after winning the first set. He could have won it otherwise.

In any case, the person he lost to is someone really special. I wouldn't be even mildly surprised if that boy went on to crack the top 5 in ten years time. Dyce wouldn't need to feel ashamed even if he lost in straights.

Thanks for the info Arka.

It did seem strange at the time, but going on a live score alone you can never tell.

What surprised me was not that he lost, but the way his first serve disappeared. I thought it might have been the heat, but cramp explains it, and doesn't worry me as much long term.
