Judy Murray, Dyce’s mentor, scouted the semi-final opponents and presented a successful game plan. As soon as Dyce served out for the match, she rushed away to scout on Donald and Roy but first maintained:

“This is a great boost for Graeme. He’s enjoying himself at Bollettieri’s and I think the performance here is a result of the time he has spent there. Now he is looking ahead to playing more tournaments to establish an ATP ranking.”
