Dyce/Heliovaara vs. Kecki/Krajicek.

This is the first time since Andy won the USO that a British player has progressed into the semis of a Slam, so I thought that we should have a topic.

Dyce has a golden chance of reaching the finals of a Slam. He is a good doubles player in any case and it seems like Heliovaara complements his game a bit too well. I won't take their opponents lightly as they had two great wins in the last two rounds, but I'm pretty sure that Dyce/Heliovaara will walk into this match as the favourites.

One of their opponents great wins being 6-2 6-2 over Dan Cox and Elias

As you say Dyce and Heliovaara seem to really complement each other. Exciting!

Dyce/Heliovaara bt Kecki/Krajicek 6-0 6-2

What a convincing result for a semi final of a slam.
Hopefully they can continue this form into the final.

Eia!

They were always the favourites, but never knew that it would so easy.

Go Dyce and Haarri!

How many ranking points for a grand slam doubles final?

Eighth seeds Stephen Donald and Rupesh Roy.
It'll be tough as Donald and Roy have been playing some great tennis together. They beat the top seeds, too.

According to an article on lta site Graeme Dyce rooms with Austin Krajicek at Bolletieri's!

Should be some good banter when they get home after that win!

30 points! But Dyce was defending a doubles title he won in Ecuador last year, so he gains only 11.25 points if he loses the finals.

But should he win the finals, he'll shoot up the rankings - 45 points on offer for Grade A doubles winners, plus 45 bonus points as it's a Slam.
So Dyce will gain an incredible 72.25 points and will be ranked around 30!!

That's really interesting.
And Zachary Gilbert (Brad's son) stays in the same room, too.

This result actually got a mention on BBCi, after the Federer/Roddick match.  The BBC does seem to be keeping a better eye out for the lower-level British results - maybe because John Lloyd is looking to the future!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/6297437.stm There's even an article about it! Good news whatever the reason.
