Saved again :(

Tension mounting. Both players veering from good stuff to pretty bad stuff point-to-point.
Game 9 had 6 deuces, but Pegula held - found big serves to close down most of Katy's BP.
Pendulum swings...

Katy's service from *40-0 pegg(ula)ed back to deuce, but closes it out with a good serve down the T
5-5*

TB would be a fair result for the set, but Katy has to get there, *5-6

Have I missed something while I was raiding the drinks cupboard. Code violation ?

There appears to be an advert which features various tennis terms, including 'code violation!', playing at the site (though unseen by the viewers...)

Played nowhere near as well as yesterday, but by the end, by no means badly.
Tough loss.

2 dfs in that final game, as well as a careless backhand wide at 30-0, a less than clever shot after incredible defence at 30-15 and the final shot long. Katy rather gave it away despite saving one mp with a good first serve.

What happened to her ball toss  and why did she carry on through the serves at deuce in the final game?

Gutted for Katy. Not at her best but fighting hard as always. I had hoped she could pull through and win ugly but not to be. Another solid $60K result though and plenty of encouragement for the rest of US hardcourt season based on the Sharma match.

Pegula lost in 3 today to former Wimbledon Jr finalist Ann Li who plays Asia Muhammad in tomorrow's final.
