Anyone got some solid information about this match? When? Where? Verdasco is he fit, can he play? So far I've found no information I feel I can trust......
Currently ranked 35 in the world so only just missed out on a seeding here. Reached a career high of 24 in July last year.
Beat Grosjean 6-4 6-4 in Sydney last week before losing in 3 tight sets to eventual runner up Corlos Moya (where he most likely missed some mps in a tight second set tie break).
Notable results from last season:
Beat Chela, Djokovic and Gonzalez on way to QF of Hamburg Masters Series on clay in May.
Qualified for Queens beating Mackin in 2nd round (very tight match) and won through to the QF before losing to Nadal in 3 sets.
Beat Spadea, Ben Becker and NALBANDIAN in straights before losing to Stepanek at Wimbledon.
Lost comprehensively to Henman in the first round of Madris Masters Series.
Murray has played Verdasco once, in the Segovia challenger in 2003 losing 3 and 1 but he had only just turned 16 so not much to go on there.
One other thing to note which may or may not have any bearing on the match is that Verdasco won today by retirement when losing 2sets to love and a minibreak down in the tiebreaker.
I've gone for Andy in three, although I think they could be quite close sets.

This match will be on Thursday in Australia which could mean it starting anywhere between midnight UK time and 9am UK time (7pm Wed night and 4am Thu am Eastern US).
It wouldn't surprise me if British TV exert some pressure on the OOP committee to get a 8.30am start UK time (7.30pm local time, 3.30am Eastern US)
Does anyone know whether the BBC is showing the match on interactive TV? And if so on which channel? I was able to record the match against Martin on channel 302 and would like to do the same for the next match.

BBC are showing the match live on 302 when it starts, even if that's in the middle of the night. They're then repeating it in full after their live coverage of the night session finishes so about 1pm.
If Andy reaches rd3 onwards, then they'll show his matches live on BBC 1 or BBC 2
everyone is predicting a murray win and im not surprised after yesterday's performance. I expect a similar result tomorrow as well although maybe not as comprehensive. I'll put my money on 6-3 6-1 6-0

BBCi now say they are showing extended highlights tomorrow morning, not the full match. So get those recorders going, folks, if you want to see the full works. (Or stay up all night of course!)

No prizes for guessing which option Mad and Bethan will take
Actually I've just realised a big problem which I'm going to have Got an exam tomorrow afternoon and I'm not very well so I can't really afford to stay up all night. I want to watch the full thing so I'm going to try and record it live.
I know how to set the recorder but how will I know when to set it to start recording ?? I'm guessing that BBC i won't show the full day's play on Vodafone but will just come on when the Murray match starts.
I reckon Andy in three, Verdasco's big weapon is his forehand, he can rip some huge winners off that side. I remember when he played Henman at the US Open 2005, Henman back was playing up and he couldn't serve at full power. Verdasco just tore him apart.
He also has a pretty big serve but doesn't have anywhere near enough variety to trouble Andy.
I've always been pretty impressed by Verdasco anytime I've seen him so it will be a tough match. I think I'll go for Andy in four, but I think it will be hard going. He needs to serve well and watch the forehand. Still, it's an easier matchup than Mathieu would have been.
