Australian Opal Quals Draw


Davide Sanguinetti (1) vrs Alan Makin


Andre Ghem vrs Jonny Marray


Alex Bogdanovic (10) vrs George Bastl


Matthew Ebden vrs Richard Bloomfield


Wesley Moodie (16) vrs Jamie Baker


Not too bad draws, but cant see much for Alan and Jamie. Alex hasnt got the easiest of draws and in his quarter...........OKUN!!!!!!!!

you are right okun is just above alex, which thankfully means alex wont be playing him (alex is the top of his sector), these guys come out so close its a joke. alex postion would have bene fixed, so if okun had come out of the pot 1 later it would have been horried for alex.

The Australian Opal is a much prized jewel I'll have you know. It's one of the reasons many people emigrated out to Australia back when it was a colony (that and gold). This tournament is nothing to do with the Australian Open as you seem to think but is a highy contested event where the prize is the most magnificant opal the country has to offer, the famous 'Australian Opal'.

nah, that was just the convicts. Loads of people emigrated too, to make their fortune. quite a lot of them did, more through agriculture than gold though!

Sorry - saw as soon as I posted this thread that someone had already done it. I was smarting thinking I'd got there first


With Australian Opal - that really depresses me. I work for Opal which means I'm thinking bout work too much!!!!! I need to get out of here! Lol!
