OH balls, Alan is broken serving for the match at 5-2. He's gonna get another chance thankfully, but it's serious squeaky bum time.

G'DAY MATE, GUESS WHAT?! WE HAVE AN AUSTRALIAN OPEN QUALIFIER. THE LATE NIGHTS HAVE BEEN WORTH IT FOR THIS ONE MOMENT!
Unfortunately, I have to be up at 5am, so I won't be around for Jonny's match. Pleeeease, Jonny make it a 3 man British assault on the Aussies.

Great to see a Brit qualify and proves his win over Sanguinetti wasn't a fluke. I looked at the draw and these are the potential R1 opponents:
Lopez, Calleri, Dlouhy, Johansson (Thomas), Srichaphan, Tursunov, Luczak, Hewitt, Benneteau, Lapentti. There are also 2 matches in which qualifiers will square off.
Great effort by Alan. I didn't see it happening after the first set to be honest.
Of the potential opponents there's some decent guys there that would give him a chance. Obviously I hope he misses out on guys like Hewitt, Tusonov, Srichapan and Johansson but there's a few guys there outwith the two potential qualifiers that would give him a chance. :)
WELL DONE MACCA, a very tough route to qualification but he's done it the hard way, fabulous effort, hope he gets the draw he would want, some great opportunities in there, would love to see him get Hewitt in a way, but he probably deserves better after Baghdatis at Wimbledon and the tough draw here, but what a match Hewitt v Mackin would be.
