If Goodall had turned up for this we might have had three.
Brilliant news, go Jonny and Alan!
Did anybody notice how the AO site gave Alan's surname as Macklin, not once but throughout their report of his win over Sanguinetti? (Yes, I'm a nitpicker)
Wow! First time I could get here since Monday and left this thread till last!
Go Mackin(g)! Go Jonny M! Really please for them both, they've both showed a real improvement in the last 4 or 5 months and deserve this improvement in their results.
I really hope ongoing coaching from Lundgren, Annacone etc can set them up to make the big step up to top 200 and see what happens from there!
Can't believe what happened to Bloomers. What was Ebdens ranking????? How could you lose concentration that badly? (referee as well).
Just glad Jamie B got to play!
Looking forward to tonight I fancy Alans chances more than Jonny's but there are loads of reasons why both can win. On the flip side I wouldn't be too disappointed if they lose, as they face good opponents in a high pressure match!
Play starts at 11pm GMT. Mackin first up on court 4 (i think), while Marray is last on another court, he probably be on around 3/4am GMT. Needs some clarification, these matches are best of three?
However, he is broken first game and trails *1-0. Another slow start from Mackin

Alan's match has started and the scoreboard suggests his serving has been very impressive so far. 149/149 first serves!

*3-0. Alan broken again. Now he has given his opponent the mandatory 3 game headstart, it is time for him to start playing

Both players hold and Alan is on the board! 4*-1 now, Alan's hold was to love, and he has been quite close on all of Luzzi's service game. I think the set is gone, but the next could be close. This is definitely far from over.

Luzzi holds to love and leads 5-1*. Alan serving to stay in the set.
