RE: Australian Open Qualifying (women)

Anne wins! So we have a woman in the second round. Things could have gone a lot worse than they have so far, that's for sure. Now let's get Bondarenko beat while we wait for Mackin and O'Brien.

Unfortunatly Bondarenko has come back super strong though...she just won the second set 6-1....but who knows what the third will bring.

Make a match of it....she is up 4-1   I am happy....but now worried about how good she is....I don't keep up as much with women's tennis and so have little idea.

Just done a quick search on her. Main thing I notice is she's only 16 years old! Ranked 195 in singles, and reached the 2nd round at Roland Garros in last 2 years, meaning she won a match in a slam at 15 years old!

Wow....are you serious?  Wow....that is good....I wonder why we have never heard of her....has she done much else coz I have never heard a thing about her....I can't even remember hearing if she has done well in the Juniors, but she must be gifted....

She is now 5-2 up....although Bonderenko is serving

Wow....just read Cornet was knocked out of the first round of the Aussie Open last year....I wonder if that was the Aussie/French deal of exchanging wild cards though....if she qualified last year here then Anne will have her hands full.

I wonder why the LTA don't get a wild card into the Aussie Open too....after all Flip gets into Queens and Wimbledon free each year....lol

Bond held so not over yet!

Breakback by Bondarenko. 5-4 back on serve with Bond serving. Not so sure who I want to win this one now lol.

We're about 100 miles north of London. In Northamptonshire. There is a British tour event held just up the road from my house. It's in a couple of weeks actually, not sure if there will be anyone of note there though.
