Go to the ATP site homepage, go to the tournaments box and click the >> button till you get to Sydney info (you have to go through Doha, Adelaide and Chennai). Then click on OOP
alex won (% wise) almost as many 2nd serves as 1st serve points. is that good or bad? winning over 50% 2nd serve for al is good though as it had always been a weakness. maybe we might see more df's as a result tho.

I think it's good as it shows he was winning the majority of the points in the rallies when he couldn't rely on a big serve to win the point for him. I think the same was true on Delic's serve, when Delic missed his big first serve he was in trouble, Boggo won by far and away most of the points on Delic's 2nd serve.
do you think it's because he's going for bigger 2nd serves ? could be, he served 4 of those 6 doubles in the opening few games - maybe he was just a little tense with it being his first outing of 2007.

Just go to the top and select another event and choose sydney

The qualifiers here have been drawn to face Srichaphan, Berdych, Pim-Pim and Baghdatis, so it looks like if Alex wants any points here, he's going to have to win through qualifying - a LL place won't do, though I guess a LL place would mean a possibly not quite so scary place in the main draw had come up ...

Just got home and checked in...nothing yet....Boggo's name is not up there yet.....I checked the results, but they have not already finished...so hopefully they will arrive on my scoreboard (on court) soon and I can let you know. It is a little late here, but happy to do scores when they start.
5 of the QR2 matches have finished (indeed, even some of the women's QR2 matches have finished!) and 2 more are in progress, so Boggo's match will be the last men's QR2 to get on court, unless he or Minar have withdrawn ...

I'm not quite sure if I understand the last part of this thread, Alex isn't going to play a second time today is he? There would seem to be no reason to, there is plenty of time, there hasn't been any rain that I am aware of. Were 2nd round q matches on the oop? The schedule on the tournament web site says there is mens qualifying matches Friday, Saturday and Sunday....
Anyway it was a good performance from Al, lets hope he can back it up with another win
