Given the draw, it's amazing that we've even got two players into the final qualifying round. Neil was the unluckiest player of the day - he must have been exhausted after his hard-fought win against no. 1 Q seed Bash-a-lot and after taking the 1st set 6-2 against Hutchins, he lost the 2nd and then finally ran out of steam at the end of a very tight tiebreak which he lost 9-7. No wonder Wallace on the GRMB says Neil was a bit angry at the end!
Congratulations to Ross though, and to Flan, who must have survived match points against all-Brits-except-Boggo-killer Ryderstedt in the 2nd set tiebreak before winning it 10-8 and then running away with the 3rd set.
On Monday, Ross is 1st on Court 1 at 11.00 GMT, followed by Flan.

They've let mad Dani into the UK! If you're close to Wrexham, probably worth going just to see what he gets up to - he wa actually banned from ATP events for a while for persistent bad behaviour! Needless to say, Nathii, having played nanny to him one week at a Polish Challenger, fancies him to bits!
