theres no challengers in lodnon, but maybe you could commute up to the indoor nottignahm one? there is a futures normally at the cumberalnd tennis club, which is in nw london near swiss cottage, apart from stella thats probably the best tennis you will see in london. (unless you come and watch me play, i'm amazing, just dont want to play professionaly)

i would love to go the Queens but its soooooo expensive, more that wimbledon which i dont really think is expensive. yeah i can commute out of london , ill find some tennis to watch , im sure
ah, but you can go to the queens qualies which are free :)
its not quite as good as it used to be after they cut the draw size, so on the sunday you only get 4 matches all played simulatanusly (i have no idea why they do this as quite a lot of people turbn up to watch) but saturday has loadsof matchs as both 1st and 2nd rounds are played. also there are quite a few big names wandering around/practicing. i have seen roddick/aggassi and greg recently and 1 year goran sat a few seats dwon from me to watch a match.
hmm, it roudn robin now, so maybe the qualies will run differntly, have to wait and see iguess.

aww kwl.. thanks for that , i will definetly go next year then .. actually, what is the date its played ? i may go down this year . but i will need 2 convince my friend that he does want to drive all the way down 2 london twice in a month , once for queens and then for wimbleodon .. im sure he wont mind
Wimbly qualifying is great because of the number of matches you can see for free.
These were four of the ten people to have reached the finals of Roehampton between 2000 and 2004 - Andy Murray, Marcos Baghdatis, Mario Ancic and Gael Monfils. And Guccione, Tsonga and a few others aren't bad either.
Why pay for your tennis when you can get all this for free??
I can't really confirm it, but that's my belief. Eddie Herr enjoys packed stands for the big matches and it's free, so I can't imagine Roehampton being any different.
In case anyone lives nearby, I really recommend that you go and see it.
Honestly... the 2004 final was between Andy and Monfils. Why pay and see clay courters at Wimbly when you get that for free? This year's tournament wasn't that good, sadly. All the good 1988 players - JMDP, Cilic, Korolev, Gulbis stopped playing Juniors by 2005.
i applyed 2 roehampton uni ... but im not going there.. would be great for tennis though hehe ... ill defo try and go 2 wimby qualies then .. o im all excited now , but i will have to wait a yr coz i cant go this year
Rochelle, I went with my mate to Queens and got great seats on court 1 the row behind the players family and friends and saw Shane Warne supporting Lleyton. Also his wife that one from Home and Away. Back to the tennis it cost us £14 each and we got to see Gonzalez v Flip, Hewitt v Miryni (great match, went to 3rd set TB), Blake v Ginepri and Roddick v Schriphan. I also got Blake's autograph and got to see all the players close up as i was 3 rows from courtside. Queens centre court tickets were expensive but if you go on the right day you can see great matches on court 1.
