Yep. When he wins the Aussie Open he'll be 1st!

Just wanted to point out that at the same age Roger Federer went from Wimbledon 2001 to US Open 2002 fluctuating around 13th in the rankings. So let's not get our hopes up too high. If Andy can make top 8 (and Masters Series final) by the end of the year, that would be tremendous. (I would say incredible, but I believe!)
Yes, I agree with Keith on the caution - he is likely to go up and down a bit. We just hope the ups exceed the downs!
I have taken out the race ranking, he is now joint 7th, and unless he starts winning every tournament in sight is likely to drop further, especially at the moment as he is not playing for two weeks. I will bring the race rankings back at the end of August - unless anybody desperately wants it.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Andy hasn't been outside the top 10 in the race yet this year, which bodes well for where he entry ranking is headed

Boo hiss. Now, if we can engineer a good draw for Andy at IW....and an early Djokovic defeat, job's good. I like Djokovic, but compared to Andy I find his game quite limited, relying on doing a few things well.
