RE: Delray Beach ATP

Jenkins serving for set 1 at 5-2

(what just happened with Aucks? Do they have hawkeye or what?)

0-15, come on Alan get at least one of the breaks back
0-30, Jenkins joining the chokers club? hope so.
15-30, ace. grr.
(you thought Mackin's df was bad timing, Aucks just did one on set point, someone needs to teach those guys not to do that)
30-30.
30-40, Mackin's first break point of the match :pleaes:
second serve... game Mackin.

Mackin at 3-5

I had Aucks as favourite for that breaker. He'd held serve well towards the end of the set and put pressure on Giraldo.
The Colombian must have upped his game and Aucks serve fell apart in the breaker.

Second set coming up

Aucks served 5 aces, 4 double faults and got 51% first serves in over the set.

Needs to up his percentage and place his second serve better with less pressure on it

mackin serving to stay in the first set at 3-5 down

15-15
15-30, come on Alan don't get broken after a gutsy break-back
30-30
second serve...30-40, Mackin has only won 1/9 points on his second serve, that's where he's falling down at the moment.
deuce. phew.
ad Jenkins, set point2. (another second serve point lost)
game and first set

Mackin needs to either up his 1st serve % to 100% or make his 2nd serve less vulnerable. and fast.

Absolutely dire from Alan - how can you get 68% 1st serves in and get broken 3 times in a set by a teenager named after Scooby Doo?

I make that a hat-trick of aces from James to go 40-15 up - the first one of them on 2nd serve!
