This is totally off- topic: apologies!


I'm posting this because the business that I've been working on for the last couple of years is about to launch in the UK, and I need some help trying the service out, and getting the word around.


I was wondering if any of you fine folk would be willing to check it out, have a free trial go, and pass it onto friends if you like it, or think that they will, or let me know what it needs otherwise.


We've invented the Karaoke Ringtone: you dial up our phone number, sing along to a backing track and we record your dulcet tones and send them to your phone as a ringtone. Or, if you prefer, to your friend's phone as their ringtone.


We call the service "SingTones", and the site is: www.singtones.net.


On the site, you can hear other people's SingTones, and rate them: We're doing a top 5 of the "best" and the "worst"/funniest .


You can also choose a song to sing and then go and record it.


If you use the following promo code: 620838, you'll get two free gos for each phone you use it with.

Haha, that's a really cool idea

Umm, I might give it a go but I warn you that I've got by far and away the worst voice on the forum. I'll wait for someone else to do it first, or at least wait till my parents are out of the house.

Madeline and Bethan are pretty good at singing [I think] so maybe they'd be best give it a go. I'm also told that Bladetiger's bass is quite legendary.

Glad you like it: suggest you head down to the shed with one of your whiskey bottles, and then sing us a chorus or two!


- I 'm hoping people will tell their friends: there's an email feature on there, so you can send your own or a particularly funny singtone to a friend, and they can hear it & rate it.


- hopefully people will start emailing it around like they do jokes and youtube videos and stuff.....

I'm far too old and sensible for comedy ringtones, but I wish you the very best of luck with it. I hope it really takes off. I'll make a point of mentioning it to anyone I think might me interested.

Thanks!  do send them the link, and do have a listen to some of the singers on there! 


We're hoping that old and sensible people like you might have young cute kids, who's voices might be cute on their parents' or grandparents' phones......

While I'm sat here panicking that no- one'll want to do it, not very long so I can stop worrying for a bit!

We've had a few people vote on how good or bad the songs are (I was just voted "boring )


.....but no- one's had a go yet, so we've no way of knowing how good or bad your singing is!
