I hope he manages to win the tournament, ending the year at 200 in the rankings would be a just reward for a great year...plus he's a Basingstoke lad which is just up the road from me.
Plus he likes dark-haired girls
Any news from Czech Republic yet Drew ?
Good results for Josh so far this week, Kroslak will be a really tricky match though. He's been top 100 and as Steven said, he was a real bogeyman for Henman. Tim should have beaten him, especially indoors but never seemed to play at all well against him. Back in those days, the Henman forehand wasn't the weapon it is now, it could be superb in one match, troubling the likes of Sampras, Kafelnikov and Agassi but in another match it could yield tons of unforced errors and Tim would lose to the likes of Chris Woodruff. For some reason he never played well in the ATP Battersea event, the courts should have suited him down to the ground but I'm not sure whether he got past rd1. It might have been because Battersea always followed Rotterdam and Tim made the Rotterdam final at least 3 times so maybe he found the transition from the different indoor surfaces tricky. Rusedski always did really well in Battersea, made the final back in 1999.
It'd be interesting to know how many members on MTF aren't gamblers...GA must make a fortune out of that site.
Great result Josh! He's developing a handy habit of winning matches.
In a typical british pessimistic style I'll mention that this might be counterproductive when he eventually does lose a match he won't be used to responding properly and it might affect the following matches.

I think that comment outstrips even Madeline in the pessimism department!
Well done to Josh (USM what are you suggesting with that comment?? ).

I have asked the tournament office to email me the weekend results to my home and also passed the details to David. Either he or I should get the results emailed mid afternoon Saturday.
Hope he can make it 2 for 2 v Bubka and then 2 for 2 for titles !!!
