week 1: ATP Chennai qualies + hopefully main draw week 2:Aussie Open qualies week 3: Week off or AO main draw week 4: Wrexham challenger week 5: Week off - definately isn't playing ATP Zagreb week 6: Either Bergamo or Wroclaw. Alex won Bergamo last year and it's now a 100K+H but I wonder if he'll be tempted by the 125K+H in Wroclaw - he played there in 2005 and made the quarters
week 7: ATP Marseille qualies - definately isn't playing the Belgrade challenger
week 8: Besancon 100K+H challenger
week 9: Cherbourg 50K+H challenger
I get the impression that Al is being carful about not playing to much. Zagreb qualies would seem to be a sensible idea, it is very easy to pull out of qualies. If Al makes the quarter finals in Bergamo, he won't make the sign in deadline in Marseille which is probably Friday night. Its strange that he doesn't want to go to his own town. Perhaps they don't make him all that welcome after he changed nationality. Didn't he travel to Belgrade last year but not play?
Can anyone tell me how to post a table from Excel on this board?
On the Rusedski message board, I have to create the relevant html code and post that.
On BTZ, I can copy directly off a web page and post that.
Here, if I try to post html code, I just get the html code on preview and if I copy off a web page or off the Excel sheet itself, I get a couple of pages of blank space above what I want to post.
Thanks in advance if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks Rob. Odd that this board is such a pain if you want to post tables, given that overall the functionality of this board is probably better than the other two.
Anyway, I'm sure I can work out something based on what you've just written, just wish all the boards worked the same!

Also, I expected that he would return to Belgrade, the city of his birth, instead of playing Marseille, which had the highest cut off of all Tours last year.
I like the Marseille decision. He aims of becoming a top player, so he needs to have faith in himself.
But he should enter Zagreb. He can always withdraw from the qualies. He could even sneak into the main draw - the cut was 105 last time. Come on Alex... enter yourself for Zagreb.
As Count said, Alex won't be playing any Balkan events this year so that accounts for the week off when ATP Zagreb is taking place. For the same reason, he definately won't be playing Belgrade and so unless he reaches the semis or further in Bergamo he'll be doing qualies in Marseille. Alex does plan to play more ATPs this year, he believes that he's good enough to do well at that level. Expect some unusual looking decisions where he misses a challenger to play qualies.
no he didnt travel, he was unable to make it over there in time. (after bergamo i think).
i dont belive he will be playing any balkan events next year.
Wasn't he resting an injury aswell ? I think he picked up a hip injury in the latter stages of Bergamo and so withdrew for Belgrade to rest it. Unfortunately it got worse and he had to retire from his rd1 match in Wolfsbury and take a further month off, missing 4 indoor challengers.

Przysiezny beat Querrey . Looks like Sam's going to be at the beach this week! Alex is safe at 123 until the new year
Just the Scud to kep an eye on now: He plays Brendan Evans tonight.

yes he did pick up the injury in th nergamo final (and may well havr retired from the match - luckily boleli retired 1st :)) on the donwside that beacuse he didnt retire he couldnt miss belgrade without a fine. i think he would have played had it been possible for him, as i dont think he realised the seriousness of the injury at that point.

I don't think Al should consider playing Auckland in case h e does too well and misses sign in for the AO. Sydney is much closer, but still around 1000km away. Do Sydney and Aukland have Saturday finals? What day does qualifying start for the AO?
