Amy Askew has got a lot of talent, when i watched her at Bolton a few months back i thought she was 16/17, but shes in fact 13/14.

I think shes going to be one to watch out for.

Wasn't too impressed by Jenny Ren, but it hink she just had a horrible match, Jess Ren on the other hand looked quite good.

Haven't seen Sian Bayliss or Laura Robson play so can't comment.

Maybe she has a wild card into Sutton or Notts? She is playing in Italy very soon, so it would be smart to play ITFs in the same trip.

I hate how Brits nearly always start playing international tennis late. Why is making life difficult for yourself so much in fashion?

Quarters:

Vivien Juhaszova (SVK) (2) beat Jessica Ren (GBR) (10) 76 63



Convincing display against a higher ranked player in the third round.
Bad luck of the draw in the quarters, but the scoreline looks pretty impressive given that she was playing the European number five.
