Yes, obviously he is still a good player but maybe his height is an issue? He is relatively small at 5,6/7 ish but who knows, only time will tell!

Saw a bit of Jen Ren today. Very impressed with her seemed to be hitting the ball very well. Grown a lot since i last saw her-must be around 5 10ish now, obviously has the ideal tennis body- slim, extremely long legs and tall. Does anyone know who shes coached by now?

I know Jenny has done some work with Nigel Sears in the past but am not sure who her full-time coach is

Jen Ren must have grown at lot in the last couple of months I saw her at the Bath tournament in March and she looked to be the smallest of the girls. Now Jocelyn Rae, she really was tall and had really long limbs.

I saw Jen Ren in January 2007 and she must have been 5'7 5'8 then caos she was a little shorter than me.

Yes well she seems to be training at roehampton (where i saw her) then. Ive heard Nigel Sears is a big fan of her and the LTA seem to be giving the Rens and Robson a lot of their support.

Watch out for the French player called Leolia Jeanjean in the future. She could be very big!

Robson's profile on the new LTA site mentions that she has a new coach, Martijn Bok. Bok, I see, used to coach Dechy in 2007 and Schnyder before that!

http://www.lta.org.uk/PlayerProfiles/Girls/RobsonLaura/

I don't understand it, though. From what I can gather, Bok's not with the LTA or Win Tennis (although he can be a new acquisition - in which case it would be tough to find), so has she changed her base?

A small bit on her from the Daily Mail (well, there's an article on her and Smethurst, but not much else that'll interest the readers of this board) -

Robson was born in Melbourne to Australian parents, moved to Singapore as a baby and left there at six to live in Hertfordshire when her father's job as an executive with Shell took him to London.

Feisty on court and pleasantly normal away from it, she looks the part and possesses a formidably grown-up game based around her left-hander's serve and penetrative forehand.

Very random, but is there a "Whites only" rule at Roehampton? I can't recollect a single pic of anyone playing there in some other colour...
