It'll be interesting to see if they extend their stay in North America by a bit and do the Grade A in Mexico. Given how weak the draw can be, Robson and the older Ren could make a real killing.
Laura Robson's win in Santa Croce over Jessy Rompies (ITF no. 19, although badly overranked) will ensure that she gets into the top 100. She will be ranked 94ish or better, depending on further results. Although she is older than all of them, the next highest 1994 born girls are ranked 220, 227 and 235 which shows how well she is doing!
Jennifer, as we know, makes her WTA ranking debut at 1063.
Jessica still can't play ITFs full time because she has to save up, so she is doing a 14s Category 1 in the Czech Republic instead -
Johanna Konta is also playing in that tournament as a GBR player. It totally re-organises our list of top juniors with Johanna as our new number 1, Jade Curtis as 2, Laura Robson now moving up to 3 and Tara Moore 4.
Today I came across Robson's profile on the Octagon site, which tells us some things we don't know.
"Lauras mum was a professional basketball player, while her brother is one of the best swimmers for his age in Australia. One of her cousins represents Australia in kayaking, another pulls on the Australian colours in hockey. Sporting success through-and-through."
