RE: British tennis frontpage for this site

Yeah my calculation was badly out, it was actually about 10 quid. Anyway, many thanks for Rob for paying it

Great site ..

Just a couple of points..

When I click on the 'Home' link I go to a Freewebs "We're Sorry, This page Was Not Found" page. You probably know about that, but I just thought I'd mention it.

Another thing .. when I click on the 'Competitions' link, I lose the menu bar. This doesn't happen with the other links e.g. 'Rankings' and 'Schedules'.

One even smaller thing .. a typo in the frontpage text "We hope you enjoy using this site to find about more about British tennis" .. you could change the first 'about' to an 'out'.

I really appreciate the work you must have done on the site, and if you need any donations let me know - I can transfer some money from my paypal account or do a bank transfer.

Is this fund so that we can all get together in the pub on a Friday night and drown our sorrows after weeks like this one !

Thanks for the feedback andy

I'd forgotten that I'd changed the "Home" link, that's why it wasn't working, that's now sorted. With the competitions page I hadn't uploaded the latest file into the site...thanks for pointing those things out

The rankings pages now looks like it should.  Steven,  I've used your table from the Greg board.  How would you like it formatted??

Count, I think I've fixed the links back to "Home".  Please would you check.

Drew, I think the banner has been messed up by freewebs' graphic compression software.  could you email me the original, and I'll try to do a better job of compressing it with photoshop.

David, I've changed "Knowledge is Power" to "British Tennis Online" throughout. I've also added a bunch of keywords for search engines to catch onto.

All,   please link to the site from anywhere you can think of: Blogs, MySpace, message boards...... we need to get it up onto google!!

Thanks Drew !  I've sorted the links problems now and made a few adjustments. We don't need any donations now as we've got the domain for a year till Feb 2008.

In order to maintain the site and keep it up to date, we need people to keep the homepage up to date with the latest news items. Arka is going to help with that, there's another guy I know called Matt who's also going to help, Rob's going to do the ranking page updates.

Would be good to have a few more, the more the merrier as if some of us are busy with exams or other stuff or on holiday  then others can keep it up to date. Drew, would you you be interested in helping with doing the homepage articles ?    If so, I'll email you the files and instructions.

Anyone, just let me know ..

David,

More than delighted to help with front page articles...just send me the details...do you want final edit prior to updating....any guideance would be welcome.

I also do not think the banner I created is working well at all...too blue and too much colour leakage....what do you think of this one ?

emailed it to you and Rob C.

I prefer that one, partly because I like the jaunty angle the photo's are at!

One thing I would say though is shouldn't it be Boggo and not Rusedski as the third British male?
