RE: Aberdeen Cup - LIVESCORE & VIDEO STREAMING

Adrian from 24/7 ie the live streaming / scoring company apologises for the problems with the live scoring. They only realised that the serving part of their software was set up for 'squash' and not tennis...something to do with who serves after a win ??? Its been fixed so should be much better.

Had a good chat with them re uk challengers and doing live scores and their feelings is that the LTA are hopeless and they feel the only way forward is to approach each event one by one. They would offer the live streaming / scoring as a pay per view package...just a couple of pounds etc for the event. He has given me his card and I have give him my email address and the url of this site. He is very green when it comes to tennis really and would appreciate any advice we could give them.

I found the livestream very user-unfriendly, but I have to say that emails were very promply answered and put me on the right track.

Just a pity they hadn't made the instructions clear in the first place

OK I will do, later though - I have paid for today's package though I won't be able to watch for an hour or so from 6 o'clock, so I want to get as much of my money's worth as I can. (I'm not half Yorkshire for nothing)

Just spoken to them and they will look out for your email. Please give them any advice you think would make the streaming easier to use / understand.

Live stream  pay per view makes some sense.

Live scoring - they must surely be able to get some ads on there and they'd be guaranteed a lot (100s if not 1,000s) of hits. It's something that really should be paid for by ads and not subscriptions.

If they can find a few mugs/tennis fans who's be happy to do the scoring in return for their travel money, I can't see it costing too much either..
