well that explains it...how do they work entries for 12s? if many of them are unranked or there is no way to verify their skills... do they just let them in on first come first serve?
The first round matches of 18&U, 16&U and 14&U qualies have been played. The second round matches of 14&U qualies have been played.

1 out of 2 Brits through to the third round of qualifying.
P.S : If you are wondering what on earth I am talking about while referring to "strong seeding" or "weak seeding", just look at the draws and you'll get it.
The second round matches of 18&U, 16&U and 14&U qualies have been played. The third round matches of 14&U qualies have been played.
Qualies second round results:
18&U qualies :
Tara Moore (WR 309) defeated Francesca Segarelli (WR 246) in three sets. Anna Fitzpatrick (WR 316) defeated Itsuka Kurihara (WR 739) 63 61.
2 out of 2 Brits through to the final round of qualifying.
16&U qualies :
Elizabeth Ullathorne lost to "weak seeded" Alexandra Rasch of Guatemala in straight sets. Jennifer Smith hands out a double breadstick to Kanae Tomomatsu of Japan.
1 out of 2 Brits through to the final round of qualifying.
14&U qualies :
Terrible news concerning Beazant. She had to retire a bit into the third set. She could have won a round or two in the main draw.
Eleanor Dean teams up with Maria Cardenas of Venezuela. Laura Robson teams up with Eugenie Bouchard of Canada. Jessica Ren teams up with Sophia Kovalets of Ukraine.
12&U R128 results:
Isabella van Green defeated Nicole Vukov of Italy 60 60. Laura Robson didn't disappoint and double bagelled Ana Konjuh of Italy. Jessica Ren defeated Nicole Robinson of the US 61 61. No bagels from Jessica. Eleanor Dean defeated Marina Margulis of Russia 63 60. Good win for Eleanor, she must be one of the youngest girls in the draw.
Tara Moore (WR 309) defeated Andrea Yacaman (WR 456) of the US 64 61. Anna Fitzpatrick (WR 316) lost to Taylor Ormond (WR 849; underranked due to lack of action) in three sets.
1 out of 2 Brits qualify.
16&U qualies :
Jennifer Smith lost to Stefania Tkach of Russia in three sets.
Tara draws 16 year old Russian wild card Maria Mokh in round one. Mokh is ranked 836 because she has been concentrating on her women's career, where she is ranked 901. Mokh is based in Bradenton, just like Tara. The draw isn't easy, but let's face it, it could have been much worse and Tara has beaten better players before. Tara could play eighth seed Anastasia Pivovarova in round two.
Jade gets a decent draw in the form of world junior number 151, Kristy Frilling of the US. But her second round opponent will be someone she will need to be at her best if she wants to have any chance of winning - either world junior number 24 Reka Zsilinszka of the US, or the name everyone wants to avoid these days, Michelle Larcher De Brito.
Main draw 16&U:
Stephanie Cornish is the third seed and plays Maria Fuccillo of the US. Yasmin Clarke is the fourteenth seed and plays Diana Marcu of Romania. Naomi Broady plays Catherine Isip of the US.
Main draw 14&U:
Jennifer Ren is the eleventh seed. She has a first round bye. Heather Watson plays Brianda Navarro of the US. She will play the top seed when she wins.
Dean/Cardenas lost in round one. Robson/Bouchard are through to round three. Jessica Ren/Kovalets are through to round three.
12&U Second Round results:
Isabella van Green lost 61 62 to "strong seeded" Victoria Duval of the US.
Eleanor Dean lost 60 63 to Yulia Putintseva of Russia. Don't forget the fact that the girl is just 10 and has done incredibly well to win a round. She has two more chances. Go pride of Marbella!
Laura Robson defeated Ashley Dai of the US 61 63.
Jessica Ren can be forgiven for a lacklustre 61 61 result in the first round because she double bagelled her second round opponent.
