I`m 18 and live in Derbyshire. I was originally supposed to be doing a Journalism degree this year but I had a few problems last year (with my health) so I had to cancel my choices. I`m ok now and I`m starting an Open Uni degree in January instead.

I`ve been following tennis since Wimbledon 2003 but I`ve only been following the Brits seriously for about a year now. I don`t play myself. I wanted to but unfortunately don`t have much talent and there doesn`t seem to be any clubs near me, so I`m just a spectator. "

Hi sally. Nice to hear about you. I always remember you were one of the first posters to start discussing Andy Murray on the BBC boards way back in Feburary/March time. When did you first hear about him ?

Good luck with your journalism degree. Are you doing it alongside a part-time job ?

Which uni were you planning to go to ? The Open Uni is a really, really good one, in the top 10 universities. I've got a friend who's doing journalism at Lancaster, he's in his 2nd year and wants to work for the ATP. What do you want to do for a career ?

This might not be entirely accurate but my friend told me it's possible to get a job writing articles on the BBC websites eg: Caroline Cheese and the others. The BBC don't pay you but it's still looks good on the CV for employers.

Who's your fav Brit apart from Murray ?

I first heard about him when he won the US Open juniors last year. That seems to be when a lot of people first heard of him!

I `ve just re-read my post and I didn`t really explain everything properly the first time so I`ll try again. My degree is actually a Social Sciences one. I want to get into Journalism eventually but I want to do a degree that can take me into other fields if that doesn`t work out, and apparently I can get into most fields (including Journalism) with a Social Sciences degree. About the BBC writing, I might try and look into that -you`re right, it would great on my CV!

I pretty much support all of the Brits, although I have to say I`m not too keen on Rusedski but I can`t quite put my finger on why exactly.I wouldn`t say I have a favourite of the other Brits but I`d love to see some breakthroughs next year. It`d be great to see Matthew Smith break into the top 300 this year.
