Berlocq advances to 141st - 42 of his 70 points defended. Bozo, of course is out. Berlocq plays Cuevas in the final tonight.
Just Querrey to worry about next week now: He'll ned to rerach the semis to overtake.
(Elsewhere in Challenger land, Yen-Hsun Lu failed to do a Tipsy in Australia, and lost in the final to young Frechman Jeanpierre. In Puebla, Kendrick's through to the final, where he faces world number not very much, Leonardo Mayer)

Goodness, no wonder he gets very little press coverage when he's winning if they all think that. I'm not sure I want to see more articles about Boggo now, if that's what they'll write.
Thanks for keeping up the threads without me Rob, I'll be back with a vengence in the new year, I promise!

we know how little the press go on. its all over the dc the 2 matchs v okun and the serbia tie he missed. they dont know any of his other results.
There should be a pre-match PC today and will try and ask a question re Boggo playing the DC tie v Holland ! Will see the response. I know that Greg still thinks that Boggo can pull it around.
I think that the only paper which gives Alex fair coverage is his local one - North West London newspapers. I supply information on Alex to their journalists who are very pro him which is nice.
They are very happy about his new website as in the past they've had lots of difficulty in finding out his tournaments results and schedule. One of the guys told me that he's asked the LTA to help keep him up to date with Boggo news but has received no replies.
He feels that John Lloyd was very unprofessional in his Boggo-bashing throughout the Davis Cup tie in Eastbourne. He says that Alex isn't really appreciated at all by the press, he's been in the press room many times when he's been criticised extremely heavily.
Apparently, after Alex's first round defeat at Surbiton this year, there were loads of press waiting and ready to slaughter him about the match and why he didn't play Davis Cup against Serbia and Montenegro. Alex knew they were there, managed to give them the slip and ran for the safety of the car park to make a quick getaway !
Drew wrote: I would love to see Alex play and win a live DC singles tie just for the guy personally. He is not a choker and does have bottle to grind out wins.
Hmm, but you'd need Lloyd to get out of his face: watching them against Israel, during the change of ends: Alex obviously wanted a minute to gather his thoughts & his breath, but instead had his captain jabbering in his ear & talking tactics.....Looked like the last thing he wanted.
If anyone's interested, Bozo's nemesis Cuevas is playing remote Boggo threat Berlocq in the final in Naples now. Hoping for a Cuevas win: 3-0 to Berlocq in the first
Good news from the new ATP rankings: I'd missed the fact that Querrery was defending 12 points from USA F29 this week, which makes his overtaking job in Maui more difficult. I'd also missed Peya's points to defend, and had Gulbis's 18th & 19th scores wrong.
Even if the results in Maui go in Al's favour, he doesn't have a chance of making the cut for the AO, or does he? Last year the cut was 116...Also, I wonder if Al with make the cut for Chennai or Doha? I notice that (from MTF) that he is also on the list of alternates for Adelaide. At the moment, he is 9th on the list of alternates for Chennai. Eveybody in front of him is also on the alt list for Adelaide and Doha. in 2005 the cut for Chennai was 137, this year it was 121.
Is Al defintely going to travel if he does not make the AO cut? How long will he be spending in Florida with andy & Brad?
