Great news to log on to , I just wish I'd been able to follow the match (meetings - grrr! LOL), sounds like it was a lot of fun.
That should take Jonny up to about 276 - once you add in the qualifying points, he's got more points already this week than he would get from reaching the semis of a bog-standard UK Challenger.

Love it, although don't nuns get up around then to pray or something??
Bravo Jonny, thanks to everyone for the scores, I'm almost glad I wasn't around to follow it that game in the third set when Jonny was serving at 1-3 I was scared to scroll down the page so following live would've been a nightmare!!!
Thanks for passing on our congratulations Bladetiger, tell Jonny to come on here and see just how much support he has!

A good match report on the website which provides a few laughs at the same time
"Sergei Bubka and Jonathan Marray were the first to perform. Unfortunately Sergei failed to repeat the achievement of Oleksandr Dolgopolov and get to the quarterfinal. Bubka was not that ready to the game which performed the British player. Jonathan served very well and greatly played near the net. From time to time Sergei was puzzled by his shots deep near the back line. The Ukrainian player failed to make neither crosses nor lobs. But Sergei held his serve anyway. The tie-break came as a result during which Sergei twice lost his serve – 3:6. Bubka played back only one set-ball. Total equality was noticeable during the second set. Marray gained a match-ball in the 10th game which was played back by Sergei with ace – 5:5. Being emotionally strained Bubka gained double break-point by the way first during the whole match which he realized by means of excellent lob. Get the victory in the end was quite easy. And in the decisive set Sergei failed in the very beginning. In the second game he gave his serve to Marray, after which he failed to realize several break-points in the third and fifth games. 6:1 and Sergei leaves the Tournament."
