I spoke to Alex yesterday about his doubles results in this tournament, he said that him and Bednarek have played very well and their game styles compliment each other well. Alex says that he's concentrated entirely on singles this year but next year he's planning to play more ATPs and doubles in those events.

They lose 6-3, 6-1 Disappointing result after the previous two wins, but maybe Alex wasn't trying as hard as usual. I expect Mike will be wanting him to get back to the UK to prepare for Shrewsbury

yeah, i wonder if al's heart was in it, he did his mate a favour, got a bit of money on the side, but going to the finals could have seriously compronised his start to shewsbury which is far more important, as it is he wont be getting home to sat evening.


theres no garuntee they could be stakh etc at they are a good pair anyway.
