Yep, the futures curse strikes again for Macca. Shows the strength in depth in men's tennis that he can beat players inside the top 150 in straights and then lose to a player ranked outside the top 400 on a similar surface.

All his best results come in challengers and ATPs, I wonder whether it's because the challenge of competing in such high quality fields against top 200 players brings the best out of Mackin. Maybe he gets a little complacent in futures where the fields are a lot, lot weaker in comparison. However, I guess he's definately got it the right way round !!
